Robin Wood-Mason joined Community Shares of Colorado from The Delores Project where he served as the Director of Development and Communications. Previously, he held Deputy/Interim Executive Director roles at Bal Swan Children's Center and the Matthew Shepard Foundation, as well as leading the development team at Boulder County AIDS Project.
A graduate of The George Washington University, Robin has worked in the non-profit sector supporting and advancing a variety of social justice issues that align with many of Community Shares of Colorado’s member cause areas. Robin also serves on the Board of Directors of Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners.
Robin lives in Denver with his husband and two dogs. He spends his free time taking the dogs to Cherry Creek State Park, fishing and canoeing around the state, and has a passion for travel.

Sarah Maxwell, Director of Operations & Information Systems

Sarah Maxwell started with Community Shares in October 2016 as a seasonal Combined Campaign Account Assistant and then moved into a permanent position with Community Shares in March of 2017. Sarah has worked, in a variety of different positions, in the non-profit field since 1994 and holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University with a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has lived in Colorado since 1980 and currently lives in the Lincoln Park neighborhood with her two kitties.

Stephanie Johnson-Wall, Corporate Social Responsibility Services Director

Stephanie Johnson-Wall joined Community Shares in July 2022. She oversees the Colorado Combined Campaign and the Denver Employees' Combined Campaign (respectively, the annual workplace giving campaigns of state of Colorado and city of Denver government employees), and leads the team operating all of Community Shares' workplace giving campaigns. Stephanie been a nonprofit professional for six years, working in the areas of volunteer and program management, community building, and supervision. She was most recently with The Delores Project. Before her nonprofit career, Stephanie was in the human resources field for around a decade focused on employee engagement initiatives. Stephanie is a graduate of Regis University and resides in Denver with her husband and beloved cats.

Stacey Baxter, CSR Services Manager

Stacey Baxter joined Community Shares of Colorado as a Corporate Social Responsibility Services (CSR) Manager in January 2023 because she's incredibly passionate about CSR. What unites her unique work experience of 10 years in government, nonprofit and health tech is building the capacity of employers and employees to create a positive social impact. This has led her to build the capacity of her community and local government in the Peace Corps, manage marketing and operations at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, create and execute the Social Impact program at Castlight Health, and consult employers on employee communications at Castlight and Carrum Health. Her purpose is to build relationships and programs to make the world a better, more equitable place. The animal she identifies with the most is a sea otter because she loves to play, cuddle, eat, and sleep, and feels peace of mind in the water.

Emma Swenson, CSR Services Project Coordinator

Emma joined Community Shares of Colorado in October 2022 as a CSR Services Project Coordinator. She obtained her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Utah State University and is a Registered Dietitian. Before joining the nonprofit sector, she worked in community and private practice nutrition. While working in healthcare, she developed a strong understanding of health disparities and social justice issues – this fostered her passion for building equity, diversity, and inclusion in her community. In her free time, Emma likes dancing, going to concerts, and cuddling with her dog, Ravioli.

The bulk of her career so far has consisted of working in various capacities for the City of Denver – Director of Community Outreach for Denver’s elected auditor, Legislative Aide for City Council District 7, and Graphic Designer for Community Planning and Development and Denver Health) – and as a Program Director for climate change projects at Groundwork Denver. She has also done stints as a journalist, Peace Corps health promoter, software and ESL instructor, horticulturalist, window restorer and political candidate. She needs all this experience in order to tackle updating her 120-year-old home.

Paige Ott started at Community Shares in 2021 as the Philanthropy and Community Engagement Coordinator. She studied Media Studies and Spanish at the University of Oregon, before going on to work in film and television for five years in Los Angeles. After finding a passion for equity during the pandemic, she moved home to Denver to begin working in the nonprofit field. She is passionate about equity and diversity, especially within our educational and professional fields. In her free time, she enjoys playing hockey, finding new SCUBA sites, comedy writing, and cuddling with her cat.

George joined Community Shares in September 2022. A storyteller and teacher at heart, George received their B.F.A in Theatre Studies at Southern Methodist University in Texas and began a lifelong passion for community and education.
After 6 years as a high school theatre teacher and working with hometown nonprofits, they moved to Denver to continue to inspire and grow the community around them to become more accessible, equitable, and inclusive. They spend most of their free time playing Dungeons and Dragons and watercolor painting.
