Group Description |
This group is for professional involved and/or interested in facilitating diversity, equity, and inclusion into their teams, projects, and ultimately their workspaces. The nonprofit sector typically doesn’t have anyone within its organization that is charged to facilitate DEI solely…this may be one of many hats for a professional in this work; therefore, this group is for professionals who desire to learn how to facilitate initiatives to include or improve DEI within their organization or who have a passion for this work and want to learn how to make this an important part of their career path!
This group provides space to discuss topics including best practices, workplace cultures, creating diverse and cooperative environments, and connecting individuals to their organizations. A new topic is presented monthly, and group members are encouraged to submit topics they would like to cover. *This group is open to leaders at ALL levels of the organization! |

Our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion group will be led by none other than Nora Bashir, CEO of Praxis, LLC. For the past 22 years, Nora has leveraged the interests and amplified the voices of the marginalized through community organizing, public advocacy, and seeking/securing resources. Praxis, LLC focuses on ways to continue to make progress for communities marked by disadvantage and to work to change the environments members live in daily life. Their hope is that they develop and model the value of community and a respect for the power of diversity. Nora holds a Masters in Multicultural Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Women Studies. Prior to serving as CEO, Nora served as the Executive Director of Chinook Fund!
