2006 Nonprofit Agency of the Year
Community Shares of
Colorado is proud to honor
Habitat
for Humanity of Metro Denver (HFHMD) as the 2006 Nonprofit
Agency of the Year. HFHMD had an outstanding year including
being named the “Affiliate of the Year” by Habitat for Humanity
International and building 15 homes in 7 days in the 2006 Home
Builders Blitz! The pledges to HFHMD more than doubled in the
2005-2006 CSC Community Giving Campaign making them our top
designee out of over 160 agencies. In addition, HFHMD
contributed development time, marketing exposure, and other
support in helping Community Shares continue to expand its
community presence.
In January of 2007, HFHMD will acknowledge our ongoing support
by dedicating a home building project to Community Shares of
Colorado. Community Shares staff, directors, member agencies,
donors and volunteers will put in volunteer construction hours
beginning January 19th. If you are interested in volunteering
to help build the Community Shares Habitat for Humanity home,
please contact Beth Kaspar
at 303-861-7507 for more information.
