2006 Community Giving
CAMPAIGN!
Leaves are on the ground, you dug your ice
scraper out from underneath your camping chair in the trunk of your car,
even your dog gets too cold for long walks at night - fall is here in full
force! That also means it's time for the annual Community Giving Campaign.
Hopefully your company is offering workplace giving and you have already
received your CSC brochure and pledge form at work. If you haven't received
your donation materials or would like to get more involved with your
company's giving campaign, please contact
Alyssa
Kopf. When asked, the #1 reason people say they didn't give to charity
is because nobody asked. This year, take an extra minute or two to tell
your co-workers why you support
paycheck contributions. Thank you for investing in Community Shares!
your
voice. your vote. your Colorado!

Holiday Giving
As we enter the holiday season, our mailboxes
quickly fill up with urgent requests to give to many worthwhile
organizations. If you are thinking about holiday giving here are some
things to consider to help you make your decision:
-
What issues are important to me and my
family?
-
What do I give this holiday season: time,
money or other type of donation?
-
When is the best time for me to donate or
volunteer?
-
How are the organizations I support meeting
the needs of the community?
-
How is my donation making a difference?
-
What different ways are available for me to
give?
-
How much do I want to give to each cause?
Your answers to these questions will make it
easier to plan your charitable giving this holiday season and into next
year. Discuss these ideas with your family and make a plan together.
