Community Shares @ 25

In 2011, Community Shares is celebrating 25 years of connecting Coloradans to the causes and charities they care about most.

Since 1986, Community Shares has welcomed new people into Colorado's giving community.  Instead of focusing only on the wealthiest few who are able to make the largest gifts, we've consistently reached out to new donors and broadened the definition of the word "philanthropist" to include all who give.

With an average gift of $1 a day, over the past 25 years Community Shares has inspired $20 million in giving! One dollar at a time, one donor at a time, we’ve come together to build a better Colorado. By providing accessible and affordable ways to give, we've built an inspired community of donors supporting an inclusive family of Colorado nonprofits.
